Pediatrics Case 12 Management

The main goal for treatment is to maintain the femoral head within the acetabulum, improve range of motion, and limit deformities. There are several approaches to management, so patients should be referred for non-emergent orthopedics follow up.  Management may include rest, bracing or casting, surgery, and physical therapy. Patients should be made non-weight-bearing until orthopedic follow up.
