Hand Case 7 Diagnosis

Diagnosis is clinical. Patient may not know the ring is actually stuck until you attempt to manipulate it so do not ignore rings in injured extremities. 

• Be sure to discuss what material the ring is made of as this may impact which tools are needed for removal. 
• Do not delay ring removal for radiographic evaluation.
