Salter Harris Type III Fracture of the Proximal Radius

Salter III fractures are relatively uncommon fractures that extend through the physis and epiphysis.  They have poorer outcomes than reduced Salter Harris I and II fractures because they are intraarticular and involve the blood supply to the physis.
