Hangman's Fracture

Patients with hangman's fractures have pain but usually a normal neurologic exam, and up to 30% will have other spine fractures. Draw Swishuk's line and check for soft tissue swelling to help differentiate normal pseudosubluxation from hangman's fracture in children.
