Soft Tissue Case 8 History/Physical Exam

There may be a history of minor remote trauma or previous similar lesions.  Minor bleeding may be the chief complaint.

Pyogenic granulomas are commonly found on exposed areas of the body. Most common areas include hands, feet, head, neck, and upper trunk.

The characteristic appearance of PG is described as a fleshy raised red papule, similar in appearance to “minced meat” or “raspberry-like” [1]. The average size is one-half inch [2].
