Shoulder Case 10 ED Management

The ED management of these injuries consists of sling, ice and referral to an orthopedic surgeon.

Usually, conservative management consisting of rest and physical/occupational therapy is appropriate in most cases. Surgery may be performed in young, athletic patients to provide maximum supination strength or for cosmetic concerns.
